Robin Gerofsky Kaptzan is foreign counsel of Duan & Duan, one of the oldest full service Chinese law firms. She is based in Shanghai, but is a New York licensed attorney with almost three decades of legal and business experience, including over 20 years in the Asia Pacific region. She assists small (start-up) to publicly listed multinational clients with their China business involving structuring & investment strategies, cross-border and domestic contracts, employment, compliance and general commercial matters. She also acts as a bridge for disputes in China and the US (i.e. commercial, labor, intellectual property and regulatory compliance issues).
Robin’s clients include China subsidiaries and their related companies from North America, Australia, the UK and Europe, as well as government commercial offices and individuals. Her clients are in a variety of industries (i.e. food, garment, equipment and luxury product manufacturing, distribution, hotels, IT, and consultancy).
