Programs

Recognized as one of the most innovative state programs in the nation, VEDP's Division of International Trade provides international business expertise to promote Virginia's products and services in world markets. In addition to services we provide on a regular basis, we also have flagship export programs designed to accelerate your export success.

While most services are free, some of our programs are fee based, such as for participation in trade events. However, these programs are offered at significant discounts and are subsidized by the state.

Global Network

Information is extremely valuable. The Global Network program gives Virginia firms access to in-country researchers, though a vast network of in-country market research firms. Virginia businesses get quick, actionable market intelligence at a fraction of the prevailing cost. Whether you want to survey potential buyers and distributors, or assess pricing across various sales channels, Virginia's Global Network program answers a wide-array of research questions.

Trade Events

Exporting often requires overseas travel. Face-to-face meetings are just as important when conducting international business as they are domestically. We help Virginia companies develop relationships overseas through participation in international trade shows and trade missions. Joint exhibits increase your visibility and reduce the costs of exhibiting on your own internationally. Trade mission participants in effect get on the fast-track to success. Participants also benefit from translation assistance, meeting room coordination, in-country transportation and networking receptions and discounted hotel and travel packages.
