Diane is International Trade Manager for Virginia Economic Development Partnership - International Trade Division and is responsible for
the southwest Virginia office located in Abingdon providing export counseling to 19 counties and 3 cities.
She has 18 years experience in the private sector managing exports to dozens of foreign markets. She is truly a well informed "hands-on"
person who is highly skilled and very knowledgeable about all issues involving overseas sales including shipping procedures and financial
arrangements.
Prior to joining the VEDP, Diane served as International Marketing & Sales Administrator for Bristol Compressors, one of the largest
exporters in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and has also held various managerial positions in higher education including Director of
Student Financial Aid and Associate Business Manager.
Diane is a graduate of Virginia Intermont College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and has undertaken postgraduate
studies at East Tennessee State University. She was recognized as one of the "25 Women of Influence" by the Business Journal of Tri
Cities Tennessee/Virginia in February 2005. Diane has lead a number of international trade missions including missions to Canada,
Dominican Republic, Ireland, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.
